More resources to come. Here are a few to spark your interest.
French Toast Girl: Site of artist and mother Elena Nazzaro. One of the Divine Mamas mentioned in this site. Elena's artwork is lyrical and full of fantasy. The stuff of fairy tales. She is the proud and sometimes exhausted mother of three toddlers who are very close in age. If this inspiring mother can fulfill her artist vision, any mother can.
Abeyta Creative: Michelle Abeyta is Divine Mama example #2. Check out her site and gallery for a bit of whimsical fun. Michelle was the first of the Divine Mamas to quit her job and follow her dreams of being an artist. Showing the way, she has countered frustration with diligence and moxie.
Woman to Woman: a network of professional women who provide health and wellness services and are dedicated to spreading the word about the growing wellness community in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Spiritual Surrender: Kathy Cordova's newly designed site is dedicated to the idea of letting go. "Much of us struggle roo much, are afraid too often, and work too hard at things that don't really matter. There is a better way to live. " Kathy, a long-time student of A Course in Miracles, uses her book (see below) and this site to promote living a more peaceful, joyful, and purposeful life.
Sharon Naylor: Sharon Naylor was my college roommate and quickly became a best friend. She is the hardworkingest writer and the shrewdest business woman I know. She has supported herself with her writing since college. This is almost unheard of in the profession. Most of her books fall into the bridal guide/ wedding planning category. Without her encouragement of my first short story, I may never have tackled my novel.
Write It Down, Make It Happen by Henriette Anne Klauser : A great reference for those interested in moving forward in any area of life. Jill recommends this book when she teaches journaling classes. To write is to take abstract ideas and bring them come into the physical world. A worthwhile lesson for writers and non-writers alike.
Let Go, Let Miracles Happen edited by Kathy Cordova: Look for Jill's essay Book of Surrender. Jill's words echo many of the sentiments in Henriette Klauser's book, but Jill goes a step further to include ideas for using visual cues to link to your future goals and desires.
