From the Forest Lore series, this painting portrays "hoprocking" a beloved pastime in Arden, Delaware. Many children have come of age hopping from rock to rock on Naaman's Creek in the Arden Forest. You can hop for the length of several football fields or stop to picnic on the rocks. This painting is abstracted to show motion and give the feel of hoprocking, A vibrant figure against the neutrals of forest, rock, and creek. One can feel all four elements at play here. Texture has been added to the paint to give the feel of the rocks. This print (20x15" giclee on watercolor paper)is a limited edition, as designated by the printer's mark. Only 100 of these prints will be made available, and only in 2021.
