Wolf Whistle is a painting about the MeToo movement. Using the tale of Red Riding Hood, this painting imagines Red as the one who is in control now. In her right hand she holds a small cylindrical object which could be a (rape) whistle to call out her attacker or it could be a joint, smoked to bring her into balance after a bout of anxiety. It is drawn rather than painted because it not realty based, rather it is a mental tool she, like other survivors, use to thrive in daily life. The painting shows her in a dark forest, but her gaze is placid and determined. Seated, she takes up room, making herself larger, not smaller, in the face of possible danger.
